Wow, you are still alive??? I haven’t seen anything on your blog in so long I thought you had dropped off the face of the earth. I was talking to Shaun at the JD Power conference and he had said you were no longer in Texas. Thanks for putting up the power points, I could only go to one conference, so I went to Vegas.

Great to hear from you Jon! Yes, I’m still alive
With the last two Director jobs I have had, I found it very hard to spend the extra time needed to keep up with my blog and comment on others. But now with my new position, I will have the time needed to be very active. In fact, I will be writing on a lot of my experiences of the difference huddles that are present for dealerships, managers and ISMs in running a successful Internet department and more importantly, how to fix them. I will also cover some of the things that I was doing to grow those depts, what worked, what didn’t, etc. Yes, I did leave Texas for a few weeks but due to family complications I moved back. Which in the end turned out to be perfect because I have the perfect job with a vendor that I have used their product at the last two dealerships I worked at: VinSolutions. The second Director job I took, I said I wouldn’t take it unless they switched to VinSolutions - thats how sold I was with their product….so to work for them…is awesome. My focus will be consulting with dealers and it doesnt matter if they use VinSolutions for their CRM/ILM/Inventory or not. Basically, doing what I did when I was consulting before…helping dealers setup/grow their Internet depts.
How was JD Power??
