Pros: We got wind of cDemo through our web host Glovebox. They recommended the system as sort of the best way to merchandise our vehicles. After a few overwhelming months we got on track and use the app to capture all of our inventory and now we have started to capture our new inventory. App is easy to use and the support team is always willing to help. We will also start shooting video with the app. The nice thing is it uploads seamlessly from the app to the backend and from the backend to your website and inventory listings. No upload time, but not a whole lot of picture editing freedom.
Cons: The back end of the system is very confusing and looks like its in beta at some points. Monthly cost is pretty high. We will be reviewing this apps effectiveness in september 2014.
Pros: One thing we realized after using cDemo and Mobile Inspector is that our inventory was a mess. We had no solid plans on how to merchandise vehicles properly. Our pre-owned inventory sat and our days to market were weeks. We had zero new inventory online. Fast forward three months. Every single vehicle on our lot New and Used has 20-30 real pictures, a live video walkaround, all the packages and options are verified by our merchandiser and our days to market now is less than a day now. Literally, the minute the vehicles get here, we clean them and have them merchandised and online before they are even parked on the lot. Getting to our maintenance mode was a lot of work but completely worth the time and money. If a vehicle is not online it can't be sold. Thanks to cDemo, the minute we press submit on the Mobile Inspector App, the data feeds that cDemo set up for us sends our inventory automatically everywhere. We now offer the online shopper that transparency that they want and need with all the information that they need to buy from us online instead of our competitor. I have even gotten the sales consultants involved by them being able to email the Virtual Brochure links to clients that are interested in a specific vehicle. We also now have a YouTube strategy with the video portion of the mobile Inspector App and went from 8 videos to 450 in less than 4 months with little to no effort put into it. I no longer waste time uploading pictures, verifying options and packages from my desk top for every third party listing site. We are now able to spend more time a the actual vehicle and merchandising it properly. We will never go back to the way we used to be. This forced us to take control of our vehicles and provide as much information that we can to our shoppers!
Cons: the battery on the iPhone dies quickly so its important to have an external battery
Pros: Mobile inspector allows us to get our inventory to market faster with more accuracy and detail than any other solution. It simplifies the process and walks you through every step. We get great quality photos, REAL video walkarounds that post to YouTube and incredibly detailed information about our vehicles by using the app.
Pros: - Step by Step instructions guiding you around your vehicle. - Never skip or miss a option or video point. - Records 6-50+ photos - Stitches multiple video points together, creating one video. - Video is automatically uploaded to YouTube and your website. - Records vehicle condition. Creating trust. - Inventory syndication to any website that can accept the info. - Customer can use the app to send vehicle data (photos/specs/condition) for a trade in quote. - We don't need to haul around a camera, video camera, pen and paper. - No more rekeying, multiple entry and potential errors - So, so cheap.
