I just got off the phone with a GM out in New York who told me he's in the process of rolling out a new CRM product in his dealership. They hadn't been getting the results from their current vendor, so they're moving on to something with more promise; something, he said, that will help them meet their goals.
This is a familiar story throughout the industry. Dealers have to be on the lookout for the solutions that will take them where they want to go. And finding those solutions can be rough when wading through a competitive sea of offerings for your store.
Periodically, your faithful Drivers (that's what we call ourselves at DrivingSales) go through every product listed in our Vendor Ratings database to make sure it's in the most appropriate category possible. With over 900 products to review, it's a labor of love, but we're happy to do it. We frequently hear from our community members that the Vendor Ratings and reviews posted by other dealers have helped with tough decisions about which products to purchase. That's all the motivation we need to keep this system organized and accessible.
At the conclusion of each year, DrivingSales takes the past 12 months of ratings in many of the more popular categories and it gives awards (Dealer Satisfaction Awards) to the highest rated vendors. Year over year, winning one of these awards holds more weight in the industry, and for good reason. When the dealer body speaks through thousands of reviews, the results definitely means something.
As we begin to close out 2013, we invite anyone working in a dealership to share your feedback about the vendor products that you use (or have used) in your store. Your voice is important and has the potential to help your peers make better decisions. Reviews are posted anonymously, so there's no reason not to be completely honest.
