For those of you who happened to miss this last year, CarDoll is back. As quickly as it appeared, it went away.
You can check out her new facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/cardollenterprises
The basic premise is that sex sells the service. The advice and guidance provided is thickly coated with sexual themes and overtones.
Check out the videos - what do you think?
I thought it was(hoped it was) a joke. Pretty upsetting that they are using sex to sell, almost on a pornographic level. I try to teach my daughters that this is a great industry that I work in and it sickens me to no end that a business would choose to promote themselves this way...
I'd be interested in seeing the CarDoll's resume/qualifications. How long has she worked in the auto industry? What positions within the dealership has she done? Is she familiar with fixed and also variable ops?
Yes, I'm pretty sure I already know the answers to these questions.
Anyone who relies on sex to sell a service can't be providing that good of a service. One should stand on their experience and intelligence, not their looks. I noticed that one post on the facebook page, we were told what Cardoll's measurements are. Who cares? What does that have to do with sales training/selling cars?
What do you think, Eric?
Michah, believe it or not, these first round of videos were worse. These are actually a bit tamer.
Zero value here.
Agreed Megan. This is a such a low point. When I was a dealer, I thought it was an absolute joke and wouldn't have ever considered her services.
As a consultant, I think it's absolutely horrible. I challenge any dealer even considering these services to contact me directly so I can rattle them, talk some sense into their head and point them in the right direction.
I want to work in an industry my daughters will be proud of, Cardoll speaks against everything TruePros are working for.
I remember writing about that a looonng time ago.. Theyve since blocked me from just about everything. I actually reached out to Ted Ings (who is the owner and also runs auto university back then... http://www.drivingsales.com/blogs/arnoldtijerina/2011/01/10/the-best-sales-tool-in-history-what-do-you-think
It took them 2 full years to get back on track judging by the fact that they created that Facebook page last month and I wrote that DS blog in January 2011
Arnold, did you notice the bulk of the likes on the page are bots?
Does sex sell? Maybe... Does it build lasting business relationships that are mutually beneficial? Not Likely...You can only "sell the sizzle" until the first bite, then it becomes really obvious if you are eating aged KOBE beef or fresh roadkill possum.
For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure that the DrivingSales Community is NOT the target audience.
