Reynolds and Car Research Integration

Richard Tolsma
We are looking at using Reynolds as our DMS and Car Research as our CRM. Is anyone doing this currently? What is your feedback on the integration of these two? If not is anyone using Reynolds as there Internet Lead response system?
Keith Shetterly
I used that particular CRM/DMS integration for the past five years at a three-location, 14 rooftop dealer group. Because actual DMS implementations in Reynolds are not always consistent, here's always some integration tuning for matching items between any CRM and your DMS, and we had to do that in Car Research (items like u/c cost, finance reserve, etc.). If you're going to desk in Car Research, you will also need to make sure you tune the desking parameters. The advantage to the desking is that it means you cannot create a customer in Reynolds DMS without first using Car Research (again, a direction for any CRM). This keeps the usage of the CRM high as well as keeps the data available for you to use the Car Research Marketing Center for eblasts, etc. Car Research's desking tools are robust and can be a better fit for the desk than even the DMS tools with Reynolds. And the Internet Lead Manager in Car Research is pretty good, with alerts to your staff to make sure leads get fastest service, etc. I've never worked Reynolds' DMS Contact Manager with Internet leads, so I can't compare that. One thing I did like about Car Research is that their field support staff (they call them Account Managers) is second to none! They were always a big help (and thank you John O'Rourke, AM for Car Research, by the way--here's a shout out to John!). Hope this helps! Keith
