Health Care Changes

Steve Devereaux
With the overhaul of the Heath Care system in the US, I'm curious to know if anyone is aware of the changes that will be taking place for your dealership's programs. I know for the same plan, there was a 41% increase in cost for the dealership for the same plan. If anyone knows any policy changes that seem to be common for the new year or any information at all regarding how it effects dealerships, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share your information. :) Have a good day.

Our dealer principal pays outright for each individual employee's health insurance. We have to pay extra for our dependents, dental, and vision, but it is still a nice perk to not have to pay for yourself. Our plan is actually very comprehensive and it is through Blue Cross, so pretty much ANY provider takes our insurance. Even with the changes in health reform, our dealer principal is still committed to paying for each employee premium, because it is one of the beliefs that he is very passionate about (i.e. If you take care of your employees and treat them well, they will take care of you in return.)
