If I had another go around. I would probably start a used car dealership and take my management and marketing skills to build a 300 car a month powerhouse. On the vendor side I would probably start another website to host inventory and provide game changing opportunities for dealers.

I would think long term goal and set the foundation based on that; work on reputation from day one by having a team of like minded personnel, use every penny spent on advertising with knowledge and expertise, have realistic goal and expectation.

Thanks for the comments. Nice. So both sound like still building a traditional selling environment. TUFF. Unless you add service, and a steady revenue stream, its money sitting, until sold. NOT the best model. THINK Texas Direct model etc.. If it were me. I would go Niche.. Concentrate on 1 market, one segmented customer base, and do it better than ANYONE. AND, I would consider consignment. NO Out lay, in essence you are a service, holding no exposure in inventory.
