What are dealers doing to aquire pre-owned inventory?

Was just wondering what our driving sales dealer family is doing for strategies or processes this year to help with the constant hot topic of how to keep great used inventory on the pavement. Are we still relying on auctions and trade-in's as the main source?

Buy some software, but INVEST in a process. Vehicle acquisition is easily implemented. While the benefits are numerous, some of the best are 1) Cleaner trades, 2) Newer trades, 3) Faster turn, 4) higher gross on sold trades, 5) more CPO sales. Everyone understands that they need all the 1 owner, sold here, SVC'd here cars back they can get, and those cars are only available from your database. Call them, convert them in the SVC Drive, or Market to them, but understand PEOPLE sell cars, not software. That's why you must invest in the PROCESS 1st. A GREAT piece of software should enable your process.
