Automotive News: Follow up on FTC probe into TrueCar dealers

Brian Miller
The TrueCar’s sale model model is really nothing new....CarsDirect ring a bell anyone? Perhaps an even better example was PriceLine back in the 90’s, who changes a fee per sale. In states like Ohio, I sold a tone of vehicles on PriceLine but never paid them a dime for them, due to Ohio’s Anti-Bird Dog laws. What most different today is the use of the federal government at a tool stop TrueCars, rather then letting the service run it’s course in the market. Now it has backfired and the feds are looking at dealers as well. Let's face it, crying to Mommy because something doesn't seam fair, rarely get’s you what you want.
