160 Tires/Rims Stolen, Dealership Identity Thieves Busted

First off, according to KOCO, on the night of February 4, more than 160 tires and wheels were stolen from Landers Chevrolet, in Norma, Oklahoma. The indication is that the 40 vehicles vandalized were left on blocks and that thieves disabled the vehicles’ lights before committing the crime.

Next up, per WFTS, two thieves used stolen identities to steal a 2018 Honda Accord and a 2017 Honda Pilot from Winter Haven Honda, in Winter Haven, Florida. The two crooks bought the vehicles before a Lifelock alert led to one of the thieves being arrested, while the other has a warrant out for her arrest.

Finally, according to a report from NPR, Uber has settled its lawsuit with Waymo, the self-driving technology arm of Google. The dispute was a potential trade secret issue, and Uber reportedly initially wanted $1 billion in cash to settle the suit.
