AutoNation Unveils Breast Cancer Awareness Statue

October 10, 2017 1 Comment

AutoNation on Monday announced that CEO Mike Jackson would join Fort Lauderdale Mayor John Seiler in the unveiling of a pink ribbon statue recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The 20-foot statue, representing the importance of raising awareness and funding for breast cancer, was erected on Fort Lauderdale Beach and will be displayed during the month of October.

AutoNation has raised over $11 million in its Drive Pink Initiative for cancer-related charities. The inaugural launch for the initiative was back in 2015, when the company painted a road pink!

In 2016, AutoNation partnered up with the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department to provide local first responders with “Real Heroes Drive Pink” shirts.

AutoNation associates, along with personnel representing the Fort Lauderdale police and fire departments, were also in attendance at the statue reveal.

AutoNation was recently named one of America’s Top 100 Corporate Citizens by Forbes Magazine and Just Capital for its commitments to community health and the fight against cancer.
