Dealer Raises $7,000 For Breast Cancer Awareness

November 9, 2017 0 Comments

Today’s story is that of a franchise dealership in New York State setting an example of a dealer doing good.

According to Riverhead Local, Apple Honda, in Riverhead, New York, in October raised $7,000 to benefit a local breast cancer awareness organization. The dealership donated $50 for every 104 vehicles sold, plus $1 for every 1,500 vehicles serviced, during the month of October. The dealership also took in donations from staff and customers. The $7,000 raised by the dealership was added to other local dealer donations, bringing the grand total to around $34,000 in donations for breast cancer awareness.

Apple Honda’s general manager, William Fields, told Riverhead Local, “We owe a lot to our associates who supported the North Fork Breast Health Coalition through the years and we’re happy to do whatever we can to help these poor people who have been stricken with this awful disease.”

As you look back on 2017, what was the most successful community outreach initiative undertaken by your store or group? What outreach initiatives does your store or group have planned for 2018?
