May 4, 2017 0 Comments

For Today’s story, it wasn’t a former dealership employee… but rather a high-ranking manager who has admitted to misuse of tens of thousands of dollars in dealership money.

The former COO of a dealership has pleaded guilty to stealing over $77,000 from his store. Meadville Tribune reports Russell Owens, 52, entered his plea on May 4th of this year, for 28 criminal counts related to this theft from the dealership. Owens gained some of his funds by putting checks meant for the company into his personal bank account. Owens stole the money from Street Track ‘N Trail, a car and motorcycle store in Crawford county Pennsylvania, between 2014 and 2015.

It’s also being reported that Owens must make full restitution for his theft from the dealership.
