Dealership Minute: Toyota & Ford

First off, according to a Reuters report, Toyota has set the goal to produce 10 EVs as part of its global fleet ahead of 2020. The indication is that in order for Toyota to reach its goal, it must expand its ablity to develop better battery technology. Toyota is currently partnered with Panasonic in that regard, however the report pointed to further development and $13 billion of investment from the automaker needed in order to hit their other goal of selling 1 million zero emission and/or fuel cell vehicles annually by 2030.

Next up, according to a FoxNews report, Chevrolet recently held a celebration in honor of the 100th year of the Chevy Truck with the 2019 model being literally helicoptered in for a brief visit. More details about the upcoming vehicle, along with many others are expected at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in January.
