January 12, 2017 0 Comments

Today’s story involves a man showing up at a dealership with a firearm and demanding the keys to a vehicle.

According to WJXT, 21-year old Trenard De’Quane Williams stands accused of a carjacking at a Ford store. The report alleges Williams stole a pistol from a sporting goods store and then headed to Bozard Ford in nearby St. Augustine, Florida. The allegation is Williams showed up at the Ford store with a Beretta pistol and ammunition asked to test-drive a truck. The allegation further states Williams pointed a gun at a dealership salesman and demanded “the keys to a 2016 Ford F-350 pickup truck.” However, Williams didn’t get far with the truck. He reportedly only went 50 feet before he was surrounded by police and detained.

The report indicates no one was hurt during the incident but that the team at Bozard Ford praised the efforts of the local police department to safety deescalate the situation at their store. We at DrivingSales news are grateful this situation ended peacefully without anyone getting hurt.
