March 31, 2017 0 Comments

In automotive industry news out of the U.K., a man decided to deface his own brand new luxury SUV an turn it into a public display.

According to a Metro news report, Dev Bath, 30, purchased an $87,000 Range Rover Sport GF4 and experienced issues. As the story goes, Bath wasn’t satisfied with his SUV so he spray painted it, put warning signs on it and parked it in front of the dealership where he purchased it. The same report indicates Bath has been in contact with Range Rover as they have asked him to remove the vehicle due to the vehicle potentially damaging their brand.

Bath is reportedly planning to bring the media to record him burning the vehicle on live TV if he doesn’t get the response he’s looking for from Range Rover. What is your impression of this incident? How should automakers handle this type of situation?
