Report: Used Vehicle Dealership Manager Facing 28 Counts

Today’s story is that of a manager of a used vehicle dealership facing 28 charges related to allegedly defrauding customers.

According to Fox 59, Daniel Trappe, 38, a manager at Prestige Automotive LLC., a used vehicle dealership out of Fortville, Indiana has been arrested amidst allegations of fraud. Among the alleged crimes by the dealership include customers not receiving titles after buying vehicles and other problems related to vehicle legal documents. Fox 59 reports Trappe, “faces 28 counts, including corrupt business influence, theft, forgery, failure to deliver a title and issuing an altered or false interim plate.”

Other allegations against Trappe and Prestige Automotive include customer payment issues involving cashing checks and a customer alleging they paid for a vehicle and tried unsuccessfully over 30 days to get the car they bought. Prestige Automotive went out of business in 2015.
