GM expecting $1 billion more than initial estimate for Opel sale

Chuck Stevens, General Motor’s CFO, said on Monday that the automaker is now expecting $5.5 billion for their sale of Opel to PSA Group, up from the initial estimate of $4.5 billion. According to Stevens, the increase is due to “additional costs associated with the deal.”

GM overwhelmingly rejects Greenlight proposal to split stocks

Greenlight Capital Inc.’s proposed split of General Motor’s stock into two classes, one of “dividend-paying stock for yield-oriented investors” and the other aimed at investors “seeking value and growth investment opportunities,” was rejected by GM shareholders. Of the votes cast, over 91 percent were against the proposal.
