Service has gotten much worse, to the point where it is affecting business. We have had site outages, brutally slow load times, and strange changes randomly appearing on our site.
Getting our rep to return calls is difficult at best. I am hearing from other providers that dealer.com is having difficulties. That certainly seems like the case in regards to our support and websites.
We are strongly considering moving if things don't quickly improve.

It was awful! The support team would automatically tell me that whatever the problem was, it was our fault. They never took my complaints about anything seriously, just told me it was our fault. I had the tech people on the phone several times a day. They dialed in to see what I was seeing and they never could resolve many of our issues. So we agreed to part company...THANK GOODNESS!!!

We replaced XI Group with Dealer Dot.com and our website is much more user friendly. The leads from our own website are now one of our largest and most productive means of generating new sales. Dealer Dot.com is commited to making your website more interactive and productive. XI group only contacted us about upgrading and revamping our website after we gave them formal notice we were moving our business to another provider. Too little too late!

Dealer.com is wide open with custom work and we have launched more custom websites than any other provider.

Overall excellent web site provider. Probably the best service in the industry. Also very well though-out CMS (Content Management System). Excellent reporting. However, not 5 stars in my opinion due to the "bang for buck" factor. I do not see them as a good value as there are other comparable options for far less.

We are certainly a great value when you consider that we're the only provider other than Cobalt that really offers 1 platform for all of your e-commerce initiatives.

Because of our association with Auto Trader advertising we have two dealer.com sites that do exactly the same thing. I have asked them to merge the sites but they refuse. One dealer.com site is Chrysler based and one Trader based. Two sites twice the work, plus the extra expense. Even though Trader has partial ownership in dealer.com they still will not merge the sites. The software is excellent, the customer service is great but the politics is frustrating. If I had a better option I would pursue but so far my hands are tied.

They're only interested in nickel and diming their clients. You have to go up about three package levels and a boatload of extra costs to get any real SEO, in spite of what they tell you, and even then we found it lacking. Moreover, you have to ASK for it! They're happy having you be ignorantly content to pay their monthly cash stream while they give you NOTHING other than the canned platform they sold you when you enrolled.

However, in reality our SEO architecture and structure has been voted the best in the business by Brian Pasch who all on this website agree is an industry authority. You can download the ASMA study at paschconsulting.com. We do not nickel and dime clients. Usually when that comment arises, it is because they bought a base level package from us and don't want to pay for upgrades they could have purchased on initial signup.

The site design is clean and easy to navigate and the site management tools are excellent. The only downside is that the inventory is slow to load as it refreshes while you're trying to select search criteria so you pick a make, wait, pick a model, wait, etc.

This has been the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had with a vendor and it is not getting any better. We have had a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT of over-promising and under-delivering.
SOME of our issues were:
1. We had them advertise another dealership on our website for search engine optimization
2. We have them host our emails and have consistent issues with outgoing mail
3. Whenever we make a request, it is only handled on the first time about 40% of the time, the other 60% of the time we have to ask again.
4. We we're sold products that are currently not ready.
5. We were promised credits while they tried to figure out how to make a service work and now they are changing their story.
6. We are on our second account manager.
7. We had blank images on our homepage because they removed the outdated “widgets†and didn’t have the current “widgets†set up yet
8. We we’re assured that all ADD-ON products we’re "cancellable anytime" by our salesmen and now are told by our account manager we m

Initially impressed with the potential of what was being offered. After the initial build, the product had to be scrapped and started over due to bugs and glitches. We are still having random problems with the site and are on our 3rd "dedicated account manager" in 6 months.

We used dealer.com for a good year. Was not happy with them at all. Everything costed more money, and it was very hard to do anything custom, without paying a fortune. When I would try and use their module to change things, it would always corrupt other parts of the website. Many Many glitches and errors in the design. Many times we had customers call us and inform us how different parts of our website would stop working, and we had to do everything from scratch again. Some things would work in firefox and not in internet explorer, or vice versa. If you just want a mediocre website and are ok with paying a fortune for any changes, they are ok. If you want a website with much more available and not at a cost every time, then look elsewhere.

The sales team was great and promised the world however the production process was less than stellar. We had serious inventory feed issues and were sent to their 3rd party company to resolve the issue ourselves. We have been customers for almost 90 days and have had numerous problems and issues.

I have been a Dealer.com customer for several years and have always been happy with there sites and support. Making an update to the site is as easy as clicking on a box and entering your text.
My main reason for this review is the after hour support they provide, I was having a problem with my lead management tool last night(Sunday night)around 8:00 pm pacific time, I waited about 45 minutes before calling support to see if the issue would resolve itself, keep in mind that this is an east coast company so my phone call came in at 11:45 their time. I talked to a real person and sent her the error code I was getting so she could forward it to one their programers.
I got an email back at 11:10 my time, 2:10 their time saying that they had resolved the issue for me. I have used Dealer.com's after hour support a couple of times now and they are always quick to resolve any issue I may be having. It's nice to know when a problem arises I don't have to wait until they open the next morning or wait the whol

Have been using this website for 3 years now. They make very functional websites with lots of features and a very easy to use back-end tool. I especially like the "carfinder" function in which a customer can fill out the specifics of what type of vehicle they want and get emailed automatically when something similiar hits your inventory. They also don't over-do it with the Flash (like some other companies) which can negatively affect you SEO rankings.

Dealer.com is a company of many innovative ideas, but in my experiences with them, I've found that their great ideas are not well executed. Another problem that I've had is my experiences with their customer service. I've found that my account manager hasn't taken care of my dealership the way we were promised, and the search engine optimization we paid for was not properly executed or maintained. My dealership paid a lot of money for Dealer.com's "Expert" SEO team to get our name out on the internet, and we have very little to show for it. Their CRM tools are based on solid ideas, but I've had difficulties using them because of software gliches and ideosyncrasies that make these tools just another idea that is not being well executed. I have yet to speak to anyone above my account manager to discuss my issues, and I often feel as though we are not recieving the customer care we are supposed to be paying for.

You'll be pleased to know that many of my issues have been addressed by your account management team lead, Mr. Jim Bauman. Jim has been very pleasant to deal with, and he has been suffecientyly expedient in responding to my specific inquiries. It's good to see that your company is willing to take action to rectify customer service issues...but don't stop there! As I said before, Dealer.com is a company of many great ideas. I would encourage those in management to devote themselves to perfecting the execution of your ideas and focus on customer feedback as a means to measure progress to that end. I have never experienced worse treatment from a vendor. I did not get what I was prommised and worst of all, I cannot get my calls returned, they just want to e-mail me! I guess one dealer does not matter much to Dealer.com now that they have tasted some succes. The product looks like a winner, but their communication stinks.
