I wish to give a word of warning to all dealers out there of the changes being made by Manheim Auto Auction across the nation. The corporate heads no longer care about your needs. They are now closing all overnight inbound and outbound traffic. They are talking about raising service prices. They are getting rid of all customer services that aid in locating lost cars on their properties and shuttle services to help customers and transporters to get to the vehicles they are needed to get to. They are getting rid of all in-house security that has done their best at making sure that not only do you get good customer service, but also work their hearts out to make sure that your vehicles that are there do not get stolen in light for cheaper, not caring about you out-house security that could give a rat's arse about you, your cars, or your transporters. These changes they say are all in the name of saving money, but really it is accomplishing nothing but making it harder on you and your business. Now your transporters will have to wait overnight before taking cars in or taking them out which will take more money of your pocket because time IS money in the world of auto dealerships for everyone involved. They are also now training temporary workers to do the job of background checked employees to drive you cars on a regular basis so they do not have to pay benefits. None of the temporary workers have been background, and from the one time I worked for a temp company like the ones used by Manheim, most of the temps working out on the lots have criminal backgrounds ranging from drugs to theft. I feel free to give this warning to all of you since I am a former employee who has left their job because of these VERY true changes and do not feel that it is right that Manheim is thinking so lowly of you and your business.
