Pros: From my perspective Reynolds and Reynolds has great customer service. If I ever had issues they always responded to my issues quickly.
Cons: From what I understand they were priced fairly high.
Pros: Reynolds and Reynolds POWER DMS makes it easier to desk the deal for the customers. It helps me to report the sourcing. I've used their product for over 12 years and feel very comfortable using their system. They meet my needs.
Cons: This is a horrible product and I don't like anything about it. The new system is ten years behind; still on desktop while all the other systems are on mobile devices which is very inconvenient. It doesn't give reports you need.
Pros: After switching from Reynolds Power to another competitor, I realized how great Power is. Other dealerships have no clue what a DMS can do until they use Power. I hear people say how great Ignite and ADP is but they are both so archaic compared to Power. I think why people are scared of Power or don't know how good it is because they never used it. They don't miss what they don't have so they don't know what a DMS system can do. I can get almost every report I would ever need to analyze my dealership without having to download it to a spreadsheet. The canned reports are superior to anything the competition has. I don't know how you run your dealership with these other computers. I know Brockman was a sore spot in the early years, but you have a thousand times more access and the ability to customize what you want over the others hands down!! They are also priced just as competitive as the others. I can tell who made what changes and when in every screen and I can change control screens without having to call them on the majority of the screens unlike the other DMS that will only change it for you. I am not waiting on changing how I want a screen to look like or make it easier on my employees and customize it to how I do business. The old saying you don't know what you have until you left it is so true. The Parts, Service, Accounting, and Payroll is second to none by leaps and bounds. Like I stated earlier, most dealerships have no clue what a real DMS can do until you use this software. People must just be afraid of the unknown and unwilling to join the 21st Century. The Accounting is so good, it would be the top software on the market even if they decided to market it to Fortune 500 companies. I have used SAP & others and this blows them all away. I don't know when the rest of you will wake-up and make the change but if you truly evaluate this product against the competition then it would be a slam dunk.
Cons: I thought there were Cons until I tried the other two top DMS providers. I will never complain again. I am changing back and they are bending over backwards to make the transition smooth and prices competitive to the market. They are also opening their system to all the vendors they are using on the ERA platform. I couldn't think of one reason not to go with this company other than ignorance of what is really out there. I can go back to reducing the number of employees to what I had to add to make this new software work. Every department is in agreement to going back and cannot wait!!! They give you access to all of your data for as long back as you want at your fingertips in seconds and on a report however you want to view it not the way they want to show you. Also the schedules and accounting is so cleaner and easier to read because you don't have all the reversals on them. You can always see the reversals when you want but it only shows the final corrected entry and your schedules are half the amount of pages and you can follow what actually happened so much easier. Everything is REAL TIME as soon as you hit the button to post and the analysis is unbelievable!! You can spend your time finding ways to save money instead of taking all the time on doing the basics. This system saves you more than half of what you pay each month with the reports and restrictions you can put on your employees on doing their jobs incorrectly. I haven't even mentioned the Docupad that makes the finance manager get all the documents signed and in compliance with all the dumb regulations the government puts on us.
Pros: Very secure, great system. We've been on it a long time.
Pros: fancy looking interface, (POWER) lots of bells and whistles (mostly useless)
Cons: extremely expensive terrible customer-service terrible tech support any time there is a problem terrible restrictive abusive long term contract terrible interface to third parties billing is never the same two months in a row extra hidden charges for literraly everything
Cons: This is the worst DMS ever. You can't push any info to it. We have to set up FTP feeds in order to get any info to or from UCS. I couldn't think of a more inefficient setup.
Pros: Keeps the dealership running !! This is an awesome system!! Highly recommended
Cons: Can not push any information from any source to UCS. The absolute worst DMS ever!
Pros: Contact tracking, as in phone, internet, mailed letters etc. I alos like that the tool time stamps EVERYTHING so if I have people making changes to things I know who did what and when
Cons: the task of reading and responding to an incoming internet lead is archaic and time consuming.
