It makes me really happy that you started this with "knowing your clients". Most articles like this generally start with having an active social presence or a quality website, but these old school dealers think they can do the same things they've been doing on a new platform and it'll work exactly the same.
More people need to understand that clients don't want to hear about you. They want to hear about themselves. If you understand your clients and your web presence shows you understand them, you've already broken down some major walls.
