The spirit of the DrivingSales Best Idea Contest, which began in 2010, is to recognize and award the most innovative dealership strategies of 2014.
All dealership employees are invited to apply. Applications are reviewed by a dealer panel, which selects five finalists to be invited onstage at DSES to present their ‘Best Idea’ in competition for over $10,000 in cash and prizes and the award for 2014’s Best Idea. There is no charge to apply. The application deadline for the DSES Dealer Best Idea Award is midnight PST, July 25, 2014, so hurry. Time is running out!
Last year Robert Karbaum was crowned the winner with his "Appointment Board Pass" idea, which increased the show ratio for sales appointments by 68% across all the stores in his group. Karbaum's idea resonated with judges because it was original, forward thinking and ultimately portrayed how a strategy could sell more cars. Dealers obviously recognized the truly progressive nature of his concept, which is why they voted for him.
