Jeff will be sharing what dealers and general managers must do to operate a dealership business in the 2015 regulatory environment and the “practical/theoretical” balances that are necessary to run a profitable but compliant business.

Jeff Roberts is a founding partner of the corporate, business transaction and tax law firm of Underwood & Roberts, PLLC. The firm is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and provides legal and tax services to many large, privately held retail automotive groups throughout the country. For the past 19 years Jeff has enjoyed counseling dealer clients on practical, real world solutions to the various regulatory and legal problems that present themselves in the operation of retail automotive dealerships and groups.

Today, Jeff focuses his practice primarily on general financial and legal problem solving and on structuring and executing transactions involving the purchase and sale of dealerships and/or dealer groups. He and his partners currently work with and learn from such long-time industry leaders as the Fred Anderson Group, the Fletcher Jones Group, the Gene Reed group, the Kuni Automotive Group, the Lew Webb group, the Hudson Automotive Group, the Billy Walters Group, the Tracy Farmer Group, the Max Pearson group, and many others.

The DrivingSales Presidents Club is an intimate, “by invitation only," annual leadership event for Principals/Owners & GMs (along with Presidents and VPs). This year, the event will be held March 31–April 1 at the Grand Hyatt New York with an opening reception at Michael Jordan's Steak House located in the adjoining Grand Central Station.

Attendees will engage with peers including industry and external thought leaders to collaboratively navigate the current business challenges and opportunities of automotive retail; designing market-leading strategies to grow their core assets: Brand, Capital and People.
