2015 Most Valuable Insight Finalists Announced

In 2013, DrivingSales introduced Presidents Club – an exclusive, intimate event designed to help innovative Dealer Principals/Owners and General Managers in the industry learn profit-building strategies from a leadership perspective and how to maximize their business in the current retail environment around a dealership's three core assests: Brand, Capital and People.

With this unique event, a new competition was also introduced: Most Valuable Insight competition. The Most Valuable Insight competition is designed to reveal and showcase never-before released data and research unique in the automotive industry. The competition was created in the spirit of progress and industry thought leadership. We received more applications than ever before for our panel of Dealer Prinicipals/Owners and General Managers to review and vote on.

The Presidents Club Dealer panel of Dealer Principals/Owners and General Managers is asked to vote on the MVI applications based off of accurate research methodology, supporting proof/verification of validity of results and insight backed by objective facts, data and/or research.

Last year's winner was Cars.com's Dealer Training Manager, Jack Simmons. Jack presented compeling research outlining a major problem in the current service market for dealerships and how DPs/GMs can better understand how shoppers choose service providers. He offered insight on how dealers can win service shoppers by providing more visibility into service pricing structures and increasing digital presence to ensure you are reaching shoppers when they are making key decisions.

Because Jack was the winner of the competition, he expanded on Cars.com's research at DSES back in Oct. 2014 as a keynote speaker. We can't wait to see what new insight is released this year to dealers at Presidents Club.

Here are the 2015 DrivingSales Most Valuable Insight Finalists: 

  • "Fine Tune Your Fixed Ops Phone Skills: Inbound call handling secrets revealed," presented by CallSource
  • "The Importance of Quality Response," presented by SCI MarketView
  • "The Next Chapter of Car Buying: Consumer preference will drive radical change in dealership process," presented by Cox Automotive
  • "How Pricing Drives New Vehicle Buyer Preference And Profitability," presented by vAuto

 

Each finalist company will have the opportunity to present its "insight" on-stage at the 2015 DrivingSales Presidents Club on April 1st at the Grand Hyatt New York ... of course, no sales pitches or product mentions allowed, only actionable insights from data and implications for top dealership executives. The presentation includes a Q&A with a panel of dealer judges who will score each insight.
