AutoTrader Only Provides 1 XML Address

Here's something new I just found out about AutoTrader: Each dealership account can only have their leads sent to one (1) XML email address.

I wasn't aware of this. Ever. Were you?

Would love to hear from anyone who is experiencing anything different.

I requested two new lead delivery addresses for our autotrader leads (regular leads & credit applications) to be fed into our CMS. No can do - only one XML feed allowed. 

Catch up AutoTrader. This shouldn't be an issue.

Eric - I am almost positive we can send two AT XML files. I know we can't do with Cars.com....I will double check, but I have it going to our CRM as well eCarlist's backend tool for their health report....

Check to see if your CRM can forward the leads on for you. Otherwise you can setup an email address to send the leads that forwards to all the various places. Like an email distribution list. A lot of dealers do this.

Eric, I have asked for this for a long time. They can not do it. Only text as a secondary and only two of those I believe. It is kind of perplexing.

I'm not at all familiar with AutoTrader's back-end or delivery system - only with ours... ;) That being said, I wonder - do they have only one field where you can enter email addresses, and hence the outward (or even internal) impression that they can send only one address? If they do have a field where you store/input your XML emaila addy, one thing you might try is simply comma-separating (or semi-colon) multiple email addresses within the field. You may figure out right away it won't work because the page might not let you save the changes, but it's worth trying. They may have had some pretty savvy or forward-thinking system architecture guys or programmers who built in the ability to copy multiple addresses even if their own customer support doesn't know about it. :)
