Google Website Analytics Review

Eric, great information. I just want to be clear, this is across all industries, not just automotive websites correct? I saw something odd, they decided to color the Bounce Rate decrease from 48.2% down to 47% as a red -1.2%, and not green. A lower bounce rate in my opinion is a positive result for that metric. PCG Digital Marketing is looking into putting together something similar to this infographic, but specifically for the automotive seo industry, in coming months!

Glad to share Matthew. Yes, this is all industries who happen to be sharing their stats w/Google. Good catch on the -1.2%, I'd agree with that as well. Look forward to seeing what you guys put together. The one item that surprised me - the % of traffic coming from search engines was a bit lower than I expected. Good info nonetheless.

Great information Eric. I too was surprised at the mix of traffic from organic, direct, and referral. Since this is an "all industries" study I feel it points out that other big name retailers enjoy the benefit of name recognition and get more direct traffic typing their name into the search bar. As locally owned car dealers, we show up more for broader search terms, thus the need for a great SEO strategy. I do not mind sharing my numbers and wonder if they are typical for most car dealers. Google organic 68.75%, Direct 15.75%, Referred 15.60%
