E-signatures for contracts

Blake Lemmons
Hi. So I know services like what DealerTrack offers as far as e-signatures are available, but I am wondering if anyone knows if you can set forms up online for a customer, like say using echosign or the like, go over the paper with them via phone, they e-sign online at home, we print the forms up at the dealership and give to them when the pick the vehicle up? regardless of logistics, whatever, I am simply wondering if anyone knows whether this type of e-signature is allowed, by law, by lenders, etc.

Thanks for the info Chris.

On a cash deal, I believe that any type of e-signature is considered binding. As Chris said, the issue will lie withing each individual lender. This is the benefit of using the vendor provided services. The vendor handles all of the compliance with the individual lenders.
