Our service BDC handles all incoming scheduling calls, outgoing follow up calls, recalls, SOPs, and anything else we can throw at them. They have also cross trained as service advisors.

@Randi, I love the idea of crosstraining BDC agents.  They can gain some empathy about the service advisor role and maybe begin a career path into service
