What do your customers perceive as the most valuable reward?

Mike Gorun
Loyalty programs that offer a mix of different types of rewards or value propositions are the most successful at retaining customers. Ideally your customers should be able to use their points towards whatever they want, whenever they want; whether it’s an oil change, gift certificates to a local restaurant or retail store, rental car credits, spa service or just straight cash. If you’re not sure what’s valuable to your customers, the best way to find out is to ask them. Dealers, which rewards are the most popular with your customers?

We have had a lot of success with a program which actually just shut down on us at the end of the month unexpectedly. They would accumulate points through service, parts, and vehicle purchases. They would be able to redeem those points on their next purchase of their vehicle from us. Customer loved it. We are now looking for a new program to mirror that for us.

We are looking for a program that would benefit our customers. Windshield cracks is a very common problem and although our windshield repairs are guaranteed for life, we are looking at other areas in autoglass where customers could benefit.
