Are you guys feeling this? What do you think the underlying causes are? Ride-sharing, out of date marketing efforts? auto industry culture, consumer research, available knowledge, salesperson efforts, something else?

April was down, but last year April, May, and September were our worst months by far. This month seems to just be the same trend as last year. The rest of the months were perfectly normal.

We saw a decline in Nissan sales last month, Honda was up a bit, however our used car sales were way up!

Derrick Woolfson

@Scott - Our Nissan sales were mild, too. But we too have been selling more pre-owned vehicles. Especially in the 9-12k mark. I also offer that sales have slowed a bit from increased interest rates, and an overstock of units which depending on the OEM means fewer incentives. Normally Nissan offers decent leasing specials, but in the DMV the leasing rates have been TERRIBLE!!

Scott Larrabee

@Derrick, same here we are killing the $9K-$12K used car price point right now.
