Do not call list question.

Jon Doering
Question. Say I'm a Ford dealer and Ford has given me a list of all F150s in my pma that have a recall. Obviously I'm free to call my own sales & services customers but can I call those I didn't sell or that I don't service? As a Ford customer do they become my customers by extension or by the customers proximity to my dealership? Would this be a moot point because I'm only trying to inform the customer of a recall and not trying to "sell" them anything? Thanks for your input, Jon

I may be wrong here, but since you're doing an "Informational Call" and not trying to sell something - I would see it as you can call all of them! If Ford gave you the list - I'd say go to town on it!

I believe Recalls are outside of the Do Not Call Jurisdiction. But that's for Canada. Likely they are the same, but I would imagine you are good to go.

I agree with Megan.

I would think that a call about the recall is within the guidelines - if Ford gave you the list with the specific focus on making the calls, should be covered.

I agree with Megan and Shawn
