How much does your dealership spend on sales training?  I know the answer will vary based on the size of the dealership, so a per salesperson estimate would be helpful.  Thank You

I find that the most effective way to train is in house and on the job. Our sales managers will hold training during the morning meetings and train our sales staff as they are working the deal. We take time when we pencil numbers to explain the whys and hows. We find this to be very effective. Additionally, we send staff to training classes with the manufactor (often free) and with the dealer association which can be $100 per person. Most recently we implemented Alan Ram phone training for all staff. We have a year contract and it runs several thousand dollars but cost per employee is not bad.
