Annoying Spam to CRM lead addresses from Carstory\Vast. Fake lead.

Theron Gammell
Has anyone else seen this? Just had spam my CRM lead addresses with a bogus lead that is designed to look like a valid lead. NO mention of who they are, any way to unsubscribe, or anything. Just a clicky that would take the person off to their website. They tried to make it look like a legitimate lead notification. Targeting a CRM's leads email address with a fake lead is a good way to get in front of salespeople's eyeballs. And then in front of the person in charge of Ecommerce. But not in a good way! Simple fix to block them, and submit to the FTC, but man... who greenlighted that campaign, thinking it was an effective method of impressing a potential client?

Are you sure its a fake lead? We started receiving them at one of our Ford stores out of the blue a week ago and sold 1 out 3, with an appointment set for this Friday on the 3rd. All 3 have responded to phone calls and/or emails.

I have had this happen as well. Just takes more time out of our day.
