Script/Rebuttal for 3rd Party Phone Shopper

Ricky Patrick
We've reached out to our phone training company but I thought I'd ask you guys, how would you recommend someone respond to phone up who's shoping for a friend/relative? We try to set the appointment like normal, assuming the 3rd party will bring the buyer with them...but this often doesn't work because the caller isn't really invested in the process. Ideas?

I would recommend doing something like this. "That's great you are helping your friend out. Why don't I send both of you over some more information about the vehicle and some proposed times to come view it?" I think in this case its worth getting the customers email address and try and start a dialog there instead.

People who are doing this shopping for Friends... is bs in my opinion they are keyboard cowboys. I would not waste my time with them. Easy way to call out the objective is ask to do a conference call with them. There friend is not the one buying the car... They are making sure they can find someone to trust to buy a car off of. Most likely they were taken advantage of and this is why the "friend" is doing the ground work.

We don't have this happen often but I like chris's rebuttal
