4th Of July Strategy?

Maddy Low

How does your dealership tackle 4th of July? Are you open on the 4th? Do you run special deals and send special marketing leading up to the 4th?

Angela McCully

We are closed on the 4th. We are a really small dealership off the beaten path, and holidays have historically been slow for us, so we get the holiday off (paid!) but work Monday and Wednesday.

Derrick Woolfson

That is awesome, Angela! We are open for sales 9-6PM (usually close at 3 PM), and Service & Parts are always closed. I have been trying to push for Service to be open as people would *absolutely* pop-in to get an oil change before they head out for their weekend trip! Mobile traffic is always up (there was an article written on here about that) during Holidays! Not to mention, it would fascinating to see if there is any data out there as to how many people service his/her vehicle on the 4th at "Big Box Retailers," as dealers are largely closed!

I've always wanted to fill up the bed of a truck with fireworks and say "Buy this truck fully loaded"

Kelly Amidon

At our dealership, sales is going to be open 9am-6pm and service is closed all day.

Dave Rozek

We are closed. We announce a sale prior to the fourth with our specials but nothing really special. Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, and End of Year Specials give us a bigger bang. Not to mention our staff sometimes just needs an additional day off to recharge.
