AutoCheck & Carfax's Agreement with Autotrader & Cars.com

Tim Nester
Steve, I have used both and I feel that consumer's are reseptive to Autocheck and is compativeness with Carfax. For me, building a case on a used vehicle the Carfax wins. This is simplyt when using the Vauto theory of "documentation is the new negotiation" the Carfax provides servicing in there report that is mush more thorough. I feel this is worth the extra money at this point, until Autocheck starts to detail service history in depth. Tim

We use both. We have found that using Autocheck on trades that we take in and Carfax as well sale them is a good way to go. Autocheck seems to be more in depth and catches a lot of things that Carfax doesn't. So we find both to be valuable tools.

Hi Steve, I'm quite confident (but not certain) that posting an AutoCheck image will violate the Cars.com/AutoTrader.com agreement with CARFAX. However, even if you were successfull, you would lose some of the critical functionality that is offered by including the VHR link/data in the listing. Jeremy

AutoCheck will be permitted on AutoTrader in September: http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130523/RETAIL04/130529939/experian-vehicle-history-reports-to-appear-in-autotrader-com#axzz2UBMF3ZNi
