So our basic listing account with auto trader was around $6300 a month not counting the banners and towers that we have, that gives you the default listing which is price high to low, so for a c-class lets for example they will be 8 pages and if you don't have the premium listing you car will end up on page 7 or 8. So we upgraded to the premium which made our monthly bill $12500 and now our c-class shows on the second page. My question is do people stay with the default setting on the search sites, also do people go all the way to the last page of results and look at all 130 cars. BTW this is the second month on the new plan and i didn't notice any deference, also almost all of our competition are on the premium plan. even my sales people used to complain about how our cars are on the last pages. your thoughts please

Sami, That's far too much to spend. Why not re-allocate some of your funding to Cars.com, TrueCar, MotorMiner @ https://motominer.com. Additionally, you're going to need to do a load of guerrilla marketing, but you might already be doing it. Let's talk. Alexander

My thought is that most people stick with the default settings on search. I would focus on using that money to drive clients to your site and market your inventory to show up in the top spots on google, bing and other search engines. You will see a better quality client and more of them.
