Google halts New Reviews, Review Replies, and Q&A due to COVID-19?

My FordDirect rep sent me this link yesterday after trying to figure out why Reputation.com wasn't working.

This line and the bottom struck me as odd:

Reviews and Q&A
New reviews, review replies, and all Q&A will be unavailable during this time.

I did try and leave a review on my DMV site (because I had a good experience there) but was greeted with this message:

Thanks for your review...
Your contribution may be delayed at this time.


Anyone else seeing this?

Yes - but no explanation as to why? Never seen anything like it.

I've seen this from a couple of people.  Any other GMB areas affected?

Yes - we've come across this too.  And GMB support seems to be affected too.  We have one new client with GMB problems and haven't been able to reach anyone through any of the GMB support channels.

I don't understand Google's logic here.  Are they concerned they can't support it right now?

I got the same message while leaving a review "Your contribution may be delayed". However, when I checked a couple of minutes later, it seems that my review has posted.
