Pricing For Dealership Commercials?

Kristopher Wile
Hi folks,I'm researching what the industry norms are for the cost of a local dealership commercial. Would anyone mind sharing what they think is a fair range or what they have paid in the past for someone to create a commercial for them? EDIT: This is competitive research as a video content provider - not as a dealership.

Should be able to get a simple 30s spot for $1500-$2000 with a local freelancer. As long as you've written the script & picked out a location to shoot, the production & post-production shouldn't cost too much.

What would you expect to get from the freelancer at that price point in terms of quality, number of locations, etc?

Hey @Kristopher, you may want to shop your project around on SmartShoot. You can create a request by filling in the details of what you need to be produced and what your budget is. I haven't used it personally, but it seems to be a useful site for connecting with freelancers. http://www.smartshoot.com/

I've done business with smartshoot in the past and have trouble with their business model since they take a 20% cut of the budget for themselves, which means 20% doesn't end up going toward the product itself.
