Videos on websites

Jami Beck
We are looking at adding some video to our website. Does anyone have any comments about the 'welcome' videos some companies are using? And then, with the used vehicle videos ... are you doing them yourselves or hiring it out? thank you

I hire out my videos, but certainly don't have them made for every used vehicle. And by " hire-out" i mean i pay my assistant his normal hourly wage while he shoots, edits, and publishes the videos. Nothing too fancy. I use video as a SEO tool more than anything. The welcome videos, and dealership event videos are great , customers seem to really like them, and they drive traffic to our webpage from youtube and vimeo.

We have hired summer interns to shoot video testimonials, specials, and our entire used car inventory. We also used vids mainly for VSEO, but it does increase time customers spend on your site building a relationship with you. I also think this is the case with having videos for all used cars, customers build a relationship with that used car over the 30 other comprable vehicles on autotrader and cars.
