I typically have a 6 minute response time. We have the SCI Marketview, Onesource, whatever they call it CRM. I use the app on my phone to respond or I'm sitting at my desk when it comes in and I handle it immediately if at all possible. I do notice that the leads respond better the sooner I respond but that doesn't mean that they always respond right away either. To follow what Chris says, I think it's the same with emails. Customer submit leads thinking someone is going to be bugging them to death until the purchase something but then in turn wont return an email or phone call. It's something in the image that the auto industry needs to push back and fight against. Don't be that nagging sales person that just wont leave the customer alone. Be the knowledgeable friend that helps them in purchasing a new vehicle, even if it's not from you. That's when you will really start to see great increase in sales.
