Would you be willing to dump your Facebook page altogether and start fresh?

Randi DeSantis
I guess I dont understand why you would need to ditch the dead weight fans in order for the page to be effective...??

The more Likes the better. Just keep growing your page and continue to post interesting and relevant information. Stay away from selling on Facebook. Keep it fun and goofy. We always say "Don't start the conversation, join it".

The problem is that 'dead weight fans' could, in theory, drop your edgerank. A lower edgerank means that less people see your updates and could then drop your engagement. There would only be extreme situations where a cleanse would be necessary. Someone who is truly engaging on Facebook would never have to worry. If you were trying to recover some a predecessor buying a large amount of fake fans it would be something to consider.

Dumping a Facebook page is not the right solution for getting rid of inactive fans there. One has to attract more visitors and most importantly awaken the current crop out of their slumber in order to revive an old page. Many agencies also offer ‘reputation management’ services, which do just that. Taking a quote or query from efficient cost effective agencies can also be a great solution! Get a Free Quote for SEO
