Average Distance Customer Is Willing To Travel

David Hensley, Jr.
Just curious if anyone would know what the average number is that a customer will pick when they choose the radius parameter in their search. For example do they pick 50 miles from there zip code or on average do they pick 200 miles from zip. Just kinda curious...

The Yahoo, Polk, Cobalt New Buying Influences Study from 2007 shows that most - 68% of buyers - are not willing to travel more than 20 miles to a dealership...I suppose that could be a law of averages, in my home town if you want to shop competitive dealers from a single manufacturer you need to travel 45+ miles.

Thanks for the info, I am curious if that is based solely on new car dealerships.
