Buying cars with a wreck on its carfax report

Amber S

I'm looking into buying a 2017 Hyundai Santa fe Sport, 46,000 miles used as a rental car but has a  carfax report stating:

Damage Report Accident reported
Vehicle involved in a sideswipe collision
Involving right side impact
It hit a motor vehicle
Moderate damage reported

Obviously the vehicle was repaired. But would this be a good idea to purchase for personal use?

Sounds kinda risky, hard to say. Proceed with cautious and ask to see the title and look for branding. Insurance might be an issue too.
