Social media.....what should we do?

e94c78698c7f10011a9cc2921d232fd1.jpg?t=1We are trying to break in to the social media world. We have hired a person in house to handle our social media efforts. Currently we are posting pictures of our customers and employees. We've also had several contests with local groups. We have partnered with a few charities in the area as well. We have them send there followers to our page in order to gain donations from us for them. This seems to work well for them and us. We also go to local events and try to have a presence in social media that way.

We feel like we could do a better job in this area. I am writing this to ask for ideas from those of you that dabble in social media. We would like to raise the number of relevant followers that we have. Also what are you guys doing with the followers that you do have?
