What’s In a Name?

Since 2003, MPi has been helping dealerships across the United States create more profitable service departments through technology.  Our mission is to help dealerships become more efficient and simplify the service upsell process.   Through the use of the latest technology, photos and video, our interface illustrates service recommendations in such a way that consumers understand them. This in turn builds trust, helps in the selling process and decreases declined service.

With more than a decade spent servicing thousands of dealerships across the country, we have been able to create the largest and most comprehensive database of vehicle inspections that exists. This allows our dealers to better service their customers and anticipate their future service needs.

MPi EDGE WorldClass truly integrates all areas of the fixed ops department and provides detailed and instant information to the service advisors, technicians, parts department and management.

Over the years we’ve continuously added services to our repertoire to better assist our clients increase revenue in their service departments. Our technology universally produces a more accurate and consistent vehicle inspection and an increase in accepted service recommendations. We also have an industry-leading knowledge base that helps produce more efficient operations.

As our business has grown, we’ve simply outgrown the MPi name. Far from an inspection-only platform, we’ve been adding other services.  A new name is in order to assist our dealers (and potential dealer clients) better understand all of our offerings.

The name AutoPoint was chosen to serve as an umbrella to house our comprehensive suite of integrated applications. Our growth has exceeded anything we could have dreamed of 11 years ago, and we’re ready to unleash the AutoPoint Platform to dealers in the United States and also globally.

In addition to rebranding MPi to AutoPoint, we’ve chosen to relocate our five offices to South Jordan, Utah, as of February 2014. This move allows the AutoPoint team to work more closely together. Through this consolidation, our entire team will be able to collaborate, brainstorm, and put into action everything from additional features to new products, all while servicing our dealer clients even more efficiently. It will also create a single state-of-the-art facility in which to train our clients.

We’re excited for the change and the opportunity to showcase all the many wonderful new features and technology improvements we have in store for 2014 and beyond. The powerful technology and service revenue increases our clients have seen under the MPi name will be sure to see further increases.
