Pros: Easy layout and produces professional worksheets to present to a customer.
Cons: The biggest issue is that it does not pull residuals or non-subvented money factors for Toyota. This data must be manually entered on every worksheet. The second biggest issue is that the way tax is calculated on a lease is not consistently accurate, necessitating running the lease in the DMS to verify accuracy. Vin has told me that they are working on a fix with Toyota, but would not give me a timetable.
Pros: Keeps information together for each customer, multiple sales, trade in values, ability to pull reports for previous customers and follow up, easy to create campaigns.
Cons: Locks up on Internet Explorer and Chrome constantly throughout the day, not stable. Slow during peak times in the day, assigned tasks are useless unless you only followup once every week. Biggest issue by far is performance, servers need to be upgraded.
Pros: Great for BDC departments to funnel leads, assign tasks, etc. The set up is easy and the support staff is trained well to get your problems fixed quickly. Vin is great if everything works together - site, chat, crm, inventory - you'll have a smooth process.
Cons: Reporting is shotty at best. I pull my report out of Vin into excel for more accurate data. Also, their auto reporting bad leads can be harmful - An example is a customer who submits duplicates b/c they forgot to add phone number or email to their first lead so information can get lost as it is marked duplicate/bad automatically.
