Calling All Amarillo Pokémon Trainers: Lure Party at Street Toyota
Gotta catch ’em all?
We’ve got you covered.
This Sunday, July 24, 2016, we’re hosting a Pokémon GO Lure Module party at Street Toyota. Bring your friends and family from 2–5 p.m. and catch as many as you can!
Slow down. What is Pokémon GO?
It’s a new game from Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Niantic Labs based on the popular video game franchise.
The game is free-to-play and download on iPhone and Android devices. Walk around to track down and catch Pokémon in the real world. Visit PokéStops, battle your friends at Pokémon Gyms, and meet fellow trainers on your quest to catch ’em all.
If you haven’t heard of it and want a lot more detail, check out this overview video from Polygon.
What’s happening at Street Toyota this Sunday?
When the game launched, we were excited to find out that the Toyota Tundra Horse on our lot is a PokéStop.
This local landmark is recognized in game as a place where players can stop to collect items. They also become social hubs whenever someone uses a Lure Module to draw out more Pokémon.
And that’s where we come in!
Our dealership will be closed for business, but we will have someone hanging out dropping Lure Modules at the Tundra Horse all afternoon. It’ll be a fun, safe space to hang out and have fun playing the latest game craze.
