You Can See Attitude

Just the other day I needed to get some papers in front of a notary, so I went to a place down the street that has a notary.

I walked in and said "I need to see the notary" the guy looked around and said "oh, I think he left". I could tell the guy had little or no interest in getting me serviced. I asked when he might be back. "I don't know" was the answer I received.

Now this might seem small, unimportant, or "just the way it is" type stuff. I think there's more to it though.

You can see attitude in an individual, a team, or an organization. What does this attitude communicate?

What I got from my experience looking for the notary was that my situation wasn't important to this guy.

He didn't care...

I'm not saying this because I need for this guy to care about me getting my papers signed.

I'm saying this because he definitely needs to care about himself and how he handles himself in life. I could see his attitude negatively affecting important areas of his life. His hair was messy, he hadn't shaved, his communication was weak, he never smiled.

He was accepting of an apathetic attitude and passed it on to me. This is so far from ideal.

All attitudes either promote or deter a 100% positive attitude philosophy. You're either moving towards it or away from it.

So look at attitude in all areas of your life and/or business. Do they promote or deter a 100% positive attitude philosophy?

Now comes the "how?"

How do you get that 100% positive attitude for yourself or your business?

Call us and we'll show you.

Sincerely,

Consistency

I know a lot of people who are heavy hitters.

They can do amazing things and produce amazing results.

When they're in a crunch or need to get the job done they come through. It's very admirable.

These individuals are consistent. They are able to reproduce outcomes in a given situation. This is how they become successful. That is the secret of the whole game.

If you have had a successful month, day or year, you need to look at those actions that contributed to your success and keep doing them, reinforce those behaviors.

Say you had amazing production in November. You were making calls, closing deals, getting out there and making it happen. Now December comes round and you figure, "well, I did alright last month. I can take a break, coast through the holidays...blah, blah, blah"

What happens here?

You set aside all that made things go right for you and your production and numbers crash.

You dropped out a consistent plan of successful actions and your results slumped.

This is all just different ways of saying that if you don't get a winning formula together and stick with it, through the good, the bad and the ugly, you won't build up enough traction to really break through into a new level of success, income, happiness or ability.

So do it... It's the difference between letting things happen or making things happen!

Put together your plan for 2008. Call us and we'll show you how. 800-368-5771

Keep Moving Forward
When it comes to getting what you want out of life there is no one that can make it happen but you. And to get the job done so that life rewards you with all you've gone after, you need to keep moving forward.
For me, moving forward has always been about intention. Method is negligible. This drives some people nuts, but to me it's not about how to get up the mountain. It's about actually getting there. See, keeping my intention set on reaching the goal is what matters. I'll figure out all the details as I get closer to the target.
My accomplishments in life have all come to me by moving forward, despite questions and setbacks. I encourage you adopt this attitude. The method will show up as you move forward. I guarantee it!
Call us and we'll show you how to get started.

A friend recently asked me, "How is the economy affecting you?"   I told him, I have two things going for me most Americans don't have:

1) I know how to work, and
2) I am willing to do "wit" (whatever it takes) to get the job done when working!

The marketplace is going to punish, without discretion, those that don't know how to work, don't appreciate work and who don't do wit--whatever it takes-- when they work. The punishment will expand until it disciplines all those not willing to work in order to get a solution. Work is the oldest discipline of the marketplace and the only solution to the current market place.

Our ancestors prided themselves on, and knew the importance of hard work and took pride in this accomplishment. Long days at work was the norm whereby men and women alike did whatever it took to get the job done! Work was appreciated, respected and expected. Over the last four decades or so work has become an ugly word in our culture. Since the late sixties and the psychiatric, "blame someone else", influence on our culture where the advice doled out suggests our parents were the cause of our problems, that all of mankind has some kind of "chemical imbalance" and our shortcomings and problems are inherited. Every human deficit is labeled a disease and popping a pill becomes the quick-fix to everything. Lowering levels of responsibility and increasing levels of blame extend itself to all sorts of other diluted solutions like no-money-down purchases, no-cost credit cards, get-rich-quick-with stocks, unconscious/blind faith 401k investing, no-money-down home purchases, and "I deserve what everyone else has regardless of my financial condition".

The current culture has forgotten the importance of hard work and personal responsibility as a solution to problems! Men and women alike look for easy quick-fixes to every problem and for someone else to blame. We have gone from a work culture to an entitlement culture. Work is the only solution to solving problems and increases an individual's sense of self worth and self respect!

The marketplace always disciplines those that will not discipline themselves. Individuals, businesses and entire industries are being punished for years of lowering responsibility levels, get-rich-quick thinking, blind investing, free credit, sense of entitlement and the unwillingness to work!

Predictions:

1) Companies and industries that can only sell their products by offering free credit to consumers will go bankrupt.

2) Individuals that don't produce far in excess of what is expected will find themselves in unemployment lines.

3) Companies that can not sell products in quantities great enough at prices high enough will find themselves perpetually undercapitalized.

4) Management that does not insist on and ensure that their people work to achieve targets will be demoted back into the work force where they probably won't be able to find a job.

The 20th Century psycho-babble doctrines of 'live in the moment," problems are disorders and solutions are quick fixes (like popping a pill) have failed us. We have become a culture of pill popping, deluded, debt- ridden, get rich quick, entitlement society where someone else is always to blame.

While it is convenient to blame earlier generations for our shortcomings, had we inherited their work ethic, their appreciation for saving money and not living beyond their means, we wouldn't have our current problems.

Work may not be in vogue, it may not be glamorous, and it may not be popular, but it is the ONLY thing that will get you through these times and it is the universal way to increase an individual's sense of self respect and self worth!

The "fairy tale" credit has disappeared, the Goldilocks economy is over, and blaming won't advance your financial situation. Maybe the drug companies will come up with new labels for your problems and then medicate you into further levels of irresponsibility. The new labels will be: "unemployment disorder", "compulsive entitlement disorder", "debt to income imbalance disorder", "bipolar spending disorder", "lazy-ism addiction," etc.

Get to work America and be willing to do whatever it takes to get your work done. You will feel better about yourself, you will be respected by others and you will survive the current economic situation!

I congratulate and admire Barack Obama for his campaign, his execution and for being elected by the American people to the highest office in the US.

This man is the example of what is still possible in America for he/she who can professionally and effectively communicate his/her message to others, the value of persuasion skills, salesmanship at its finest, executing an exact strategy, taking massive amounts of actions, getting others to support your dreams, persistently believing in your ideas regardless of the odds against you and the ability to close the deal. His success to America's highest office goes a long way to demonstrate that in America when you exhibit these skills at this level you can achieve anything.

Regardless of your political beliefs you have to appreciate that this little known man persuaded the citizens of this country to go out and elect him President of the US. The last eighteen months he spent selling himself, his ideas, his solutions and his hopes to others.

He is an exemplary example of what it takes to succeed:
1) Great Communication Skills
2) An Exact Strategy
3) Staying Committed to the Strategy
4) Massive Levels of Action
5) Commanding the Support of Others
6) Ability to Close the Deal
7) Believe You Can Succeed Regardless of the Odds Against You

While I don't agree with many of his proposals regarding tax increases and his solutions to the current economic conditions I admire this man for being a great example of what it takes to succeed even beyond great odds.
